Nothing has changed...except for everything!

It has been two years since I last blogged...I promised I will post useful stuff on a regular basis. But then again, this is ME! Irregular, with bursts of enthusiasm and futile attempts to write!
I started out with finding myself in the world of Geekdom and then three months ago I got a second chance. A chance to get out of this world of C++, Linux, tinkering with hardware and troubleshooting networks. A new country, and new resume and a new life. I was determined to try something new...something as simple as a sales assistant in a clothes store. But I couldnt even get myself to apply for such a position! Just couldnt imagine myself being happy. Even though it has been something I have always wanted to do!
It is ironic. I wanted to get out of geekdom because I didnt think I had a place, but now I am so comfortable, that I cannot get out. Working with people is what I want to do... I am too scared to take that chance....the laws of inertia apply to not only matter but also energy. Must....get...out...there!!!!

Im back!

yeah yeah so i can be categorized as one of those bloggers who start a blog and forget about them...not that I can promise that I have changed but surely can attempt to write something here that _can_ be useful for others! The struggle to not destroy my pretty lappy continues...not that I have improved in any way...actually just gets worse! But would like to put here a thing or 2 which I couldnt find when I was trying to figure things out!

reservations.....

I know it has been a long time....but i needed a space to vent out my frustration on the sad state of affairs of reservations. My blood boils at the thought of politicians blackmailing each other at the cost of the quality of students and the rift they are creating within society.

Thus, if the congress does not succumb to the demands of introducing additional seats, these people will just take out thier support and the government will collapse.

I feel bad at the fact that we only see students protesting against reservations, but have we asked the OBC students what they would like (ok apart from south where 98% are OBC, i think there should be a quota for Brahmans over there!)
In what way should we agitate against the givernment? if the doctors do not provide thier services as a form of protest, people suffer.
If we actually create a rift amongst the students who are OBC, the students suffer.
If we have protest rallies, students are beaten up ie, the students suffer.

Where the hell do the poliyicians get beat up?! Rang De Basanti was a little extreme, but helplessness only can give rise to the wrong ideas...

The way you look at it...

Relationships are not about how your partner understands you and what lengths he is willing to sacrifice things for you...its all about...kuch kuch hota hai...tum nahi samjhoge! hahahahahahahahahahahahah

Proud to be with Windows..

This is in response to Devs post..." With Mandrake, now I can say with confidence that not a single pirated program runs on my system. How many of you can say that? "

my comp crashed 4 days before my OS prac.. drives in windows were overlapping(how the hell did that happen?!?!?!)...since then my confidence in windows is fast deteriorating...
Want to switch over to linux soon... but i guess after this "holiday" will actually start working on that... too busy right now watching movies and feeling giulty after that...
